BISHOP SHARYN R. In Yale N.H. Hosp. July 19 2008 Sharyn R. Bishop of Townsend Ave. New Haven beloved sister of Mary Jean Russo and her significant other John Variest of Northford Joan A. Forte and her husband Mario of New Haven and George Bishop and his wife Pama Mitchell of Cincinnati Ohio adored aunt of Kristina Bishop and Matthew Russo both of Cincinnati Ohio and former sister in-law of Daniel Russo. Sharyn was born in New Haven July 18 1947 daughter of the late George E. and Mary Trant Bisop. She was a 33 year employee of the City of New Haven where she served until her illness in the Elderly Services Dept. of the city. Politics and the elderly were her passions. She was very active with the New Haven Democratic Party and served on several Democratic local state and national committees. She was a member of the Democratic Town Committee and was a Ward Chairwoman at Bella Vista. Funeral from The Clancy Funeral Home 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven Wednesday morning at 9am. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church Ferry St. at 9:30. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
