Obituary of Kathleen Roy Beesley

Kathleen Roy Beesley, of 415 Briarwood Drive Guilford, died on April 17, 2014 in Branford after a long illness. She was born on January 3, 1945, in New Haven, the daughter of Lucien and Kathleen Callahan Roy. She was the widow of Neil Beesley who died in 1993. Mrs. Beesley was a very active communicant of St. Clare Church serving as a Eucharistic minister, a member of the choir and Ladies Guild. Kathie graduated from West Haven High School, and prior to her retirement in 1998 worked in accounting and owned a book store, "Bees Paperbacks". She is survived by her sons, Neil Beesley and his wife Cindy of Guilford and Timothy Beesley of West Haven; her siblings Richard Roy and his wife Patricia of Milford, Regina Beausejour and her husband Donald of Guilford and Lucien Roy and his wife Arlene of Ansonia; her grandchildren Colin, Jillian and Vanessa Beesley. The funeral procession will assemble on Wednesday April 23rd at 9am at Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven and will proceed to a 10am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare Church, 234 Coe Ave., E. Haven. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
