Bud Boccardi, 77 of East Haven, passed away April 27, 2014 at St. Raphael’s Hospital. He was born June 9, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, NY to Leonard and Rose (Messenger) Boccardi. He is preceded in death by parents, wife, Judy (O’Connor) Boccardi and brother, Roger Boccardi. Bud is survived by four children; Patricia Perry (David) of Northford , Laura Boccardi (Dan Paton) of Bristol, Ellen Boccardi (David Faymon) of Arizona, Michael Boccardi (Dena) of Ansonia and three grandchildren; Lauren Perry (fiancé Richard Ardito), Matthew Perry and Rebecca Faymon. Bud is also survived by siblings; Larry Boccardi (Lynda) of Milford, PA, Michael Boccardi of Bronxville, NY, Jacqueline Boccardi of Branford and sister-in-law, Lucille Paolicelli of Fl. Bud was a loyal husband, father and grandfather whose caring nature came through not only with his family but towards his many neighbors, friends and customers. Among his family he was a selfless, dependable patriarch and always put the desires of others before his own needs. Bud played an active role in raising his grandchildren. He was a devoted father to his children and lovingly nursed his wife until her passing. In his business, he was diligent and hard-working until the very end and was known and loved by many in the community. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 2PM until the time of a brief service at 4PM in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
