Elizabeth ”Betty” Streeto, 75 of New Haven passed away June 6, 2014 at Yale New Haven after a long courageous battle of cancer. She was born November 22, 1938 in New Haven to Julius and Celeste Morro. Betty is preceded in death by parents and brothers, Charlie and Andrew Morro. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of over 58 years, Edward L. Streeto and children; Michael Streeto of New Haven, Edward Streeto Jr. of East Haven, Joseph Streeto (Carol) of Clinton, Vincent Streeto (Sheryl) of East Haven, Victor Streeto of East Haven, Elizabeth Streeto of East Haven, five grandchildren; Michael Paul Streeto, Edward Streeto Jr., Jacqueline Rankin, Brittany Streeto, Elisa O’Connor, and six great grandchildren. Betty is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Proto (Dominic) and Judy Gavano (Matthew) both of New Haven. Betty retired from Walmart in Branford. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and being a lifetime member of St. Bernadette. Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Monday, June 9, at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven. Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. Donations may be made to St. Bernadette School, 385 Townsend Ave., New Haven CT 06512 in memory of Elizabeth Streeto.
