Mary Begley Moore 87 of East Haven passed away September 6, 2014 at CT Hospice. She was born December 24, 1926 to John and Mary (Donnelly) Begley. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Judson Moore, son, Thomas Moore, grandson, Judson Dougherty, and sister, Anne Gallagher. Mary is survived by three children; Joan Dougherty (Jim) of East Haven, Paul Moore (Robin) of Wallingford and Gary Moore of Branford. Mary is also survived by two granddaughters, Julie Dougherty Rogers (Matthew) and Sarah Begley Moore, brother, John Begley, S.J. of Scranton, PA and a sister, Joan DeGioia (John) of Hamden. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with her family and living on the beach.
Family will receive friends from 4 -7 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:40 am for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven. Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Judson Foundation, 372 Laurel Street, East Haven CT 06512 in memory of Mary Moore.
