Joan (Altmannsberger) Corcoran 82 of Branford passed away September 26, 2014 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was born January 16, 1932 in New Haven to William and Marie (China) Altmannsberger. Joan is preceded in death by parents, husband, John D. Corcoran and niece, Lisa Altmannsberger. Joan is survived by nieces and nephews; Nancy, John, Shelley, Joan, Robert and several great nieces and nephews. She was a retired employee of US Steel with over 30 years of service as a clerk. Private graveside funeral service will be held at Center Cemetery in Branford. Arrangements are under the care of Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven. Donation may be made to Branford Compassion Club, 2037 Foxon Rd., North Branford CT 06471 in memory of Joan Corcoran.
