Jacqueline Schatzlein 77 of East Haven passed away October 9, 2014 at home. She was born June 22, 1937 in New Haven to Raymond and Lillian (Ward) Carlson. She is preceded in death by parents and husband of 58 years, Robert Schatzlein who passed away July 4, 2014. Jacqueline is survived by three children; Deborah E. Schatzlein (Cynthia Paulson) of Benicia, CA, Douglas E. Schatzlein of East Haven and Dianna E. Schatzlein-Ahern(Stephen Ahern) of Orange. Jacqueline is also survived by four grandchildren who she cherished; Ryan James Douglas Ahern, Jamie Lynn Elizabeth Ahern, twins, Edward Robert Ahern and Stephen Patrick Ahern II. Jackie, as she was known by her family and friends, was raised in East Haven where she met and fell in love with her husband Robert. They were married and raised their family in Maplevale Court which led to lasting friendships over 60 years. She had an undaunted love for life with a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Jackie will be best known for her enthusiasm and for the stories she shared with her family and close friends. Outings with her family and friends was something she loved to do all her life. Known as “Bama” to her grandchildren she never missed an event at their school or a celebration. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 14, at 10 AM in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Prader-Willi Syndrome Assoc., c/o Eileene Fletcher, 35 Ansonia Drive, North Haven, CT, 06473 in memory of Jacqueline Schatzlein, in support of her grandsons Edward and Stephen Ahern,
