Eldrick "Ricky" J. Arsenault Jr., 62 of East Haven passed away December 1, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born October 23, 1952 in New Haven. He is preceded in death by his parents Eldrick Sr. and Adeline (Asmus) Arsenault, his beloved little buddy Chipper. He is also preceded in death by his beloved Aunt Vicky and Uncle Carl Budeit and cousin Carl Budeit Jr. Eldrick is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Frances (Cox) Arsenault. Siblings, twin sister Kathy Staron (Eric) of Northford, brother Kenny Arsenault (Lorraine) of NJ and sister Karen Shiley (John) of SC. Cherished cousins who have always shared a special bond Mark Budeit Sr. and his wife Ginny of Guilford, Sandra DePaola and her late husband Nicky of North Haven. Eldrick also leaves behind his wife's family Father and Mother-in-Law Elwood "Babe" and Joan (Toohey) Cox, brothers and sisters-in-laws Patricia Cox, Michael Cox, Joan Lucas, Thomas Cox (Alicia Colon) all of East Haven, Maureen Monaghan (Michael) of Guilford, Elaine Feagin (Willis) of CA, Ellen Clements (Robert) of NJ. Eldrick is also survived by nieces and nephews: Bazin Girma, Enderyas Girma, Megan Harrison (Scott), Richard Lucas, God Daughter Lauren Clements, Maggie Clements, Sean Monaghan, Kelsey Monaghan, Mark Budeit Jr. (Tiffany), God Daughter Jennifer Dolan-Auten (Shannon), Nicole DePaola, Stacy Minnix (Thomas), Melissa Meehan (Michael) Elizabeth Staron, Damien Phillips, Ben Mann, Carly Mann, Jon Shiley, Janna Shiley-Borden. Ricky was a devoted employee for 30 plus years as a Quality Control Technician at Ametek Specialty Metals in Wallingford, CT. He and his wife would like to thank all of the employees of Ametek for their compassion, support and kindness through his long illness. A special thank you to all the staff at Shoreline Medical Center on Goose Lane in Guilford, CT especially Dr. Lim, Cheryl and Robin. They have helped and guided us through our journey over the last 2 years with Ricky's battle with Lung Cancer and we owe them more then our thanks. He enjoyed Fishing, Hunting (though he always missed probably on purpose), Gambling, Spending Saturday afternoon at Sports Haven betting on the Horse Races and having a cold beer with his cousin Mark and Uncle Carl. Trips to Saratoga, Atlantic City and Las Vegas with friends and family were among his greatest pleasures. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Saturday December 6, at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, East Haven. Burial to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis TN 38101-2805 in memory of Eldrick J. Arsenault Jr.
