Marie Lloyd Lane, 84 of 311 Eastern St., New Haven entered into a peaceful eternal rest, November 3, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Walter H. Lane. Loving mother of Sharon M. Ruggiero and husband Anthony of New Haven, Nancy J. DeCato and Husband Frank of North Haven and Peggie Donaruma and fiancée Doug Welsh of Branford. Cherished grandmother and great grandmother of Kerry Augur, Denise Pappa, Kristen DeCato , Anthony Ruggiero, Chucky Donaruma , Kara DeCato, Hannah and Collin Augur a, Anthony and Juliana Pappa. Devoted sister of Jeanne Adams of East Haven.Mrs. Lane was predeceased by a son in law Chuck Donaruma.
Born August 11, 1924 in New Haven a daughter of the late Walter and Catherine Bradley Lloyd, she was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven. Marie was a member of the 311 club at Bella Vista. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home , 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Thursday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St.Francis Church, Ferry St., New Haven at 10:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning from 8:00-9:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brook Hollow Residents Council, 55 Kondracki Lane, Wallingford, CT 06492.
