Edward V. Mase, 67, of East Haven, passed away March 31, 2015 at St. Raphael’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the founder of Strong Hill Language Institute, graduate of Franconia College New Hampshire and received his Masters from Southern CT State College. He was born January 9, 1948 in New Haven. Edward is the son of Jessie (Nuzzo) Altiers of East Haven, son of the late Edward Mase, brother of Patricia Duenkel of New Haven, Nancy Porrazzo (Richard) of East Haven, uncle of Edmund Duenkel II, life partner of Nopporn Saeyeian of East Haven and his canine companion, “Jack.” Edward was well educated, he loved to travel domestically and internationally. The family thanks, The CT Home Hospice Care, Dr. Katz, Dr. Brand Myron, Jenna Glorioso, RN, Dr. Aydin Uzuh Pina of the ICU staff for their kind and professional care. Edward will be missed by his extended family in the US and abroad. Family will receive friends from 4 – 7 PM on Monday, April 6, 2015at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 11 AM in the Clancy Funeral Home with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford CT 06405 in memory of Edward V. Mase.
