Marilyn Galimi, 66, of Branford passed away April 13, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born January 15, 1949 in White Plains, NY to Earl Brown and Serene Olson. She is preceded in death by parents and husband Joseph Galimi (2002). Marilyn is survived by two children, son, Jon Galimi of East Haven, daughter Marisa Russo (Anthony) of East Haven, and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Galimi and Morgan Russo. Marilyn’s greatest pride and joy was spending time with her two granddaughters. She was a loving mother, devoted grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Marilyn loved making crafts and decorating for the holidays. She was a retired employee with over 25 years of service as a financial assistant at Yale University. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 4-7pm at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Friday, April 17th at 9:45 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave with Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Heart Association, 5 Brookfield Drive, Wallingford, CT, 06492 in memory of Marilyn Galimi.
