Ronnie Luedee, 61, of Branford, passed away peacefully, Wed., Feb. 11,2009 ,
surrounded by her loving family . Sister of Mary Lou ( James) O'Neill of FL,
Cathy Volpe of Branford, James ( Mickie ) Luedee of Branford, Philip ( Frances )
Luedee of New Haven and the late Rev. Rene Luedee. Also survived by many loving
nieces and nephews. Born April 30,1947 in New Haven a daughter of the late Charles
and Julia Cotter Luedee, she was a graduate of Laurelton Hall and earned her BA
degree from Southern Conn. State University. She had been employed for many years
at the Yale University School of Medicine as a grant researcher. Ronnie enjoyed
listening to old family stories as much as hearing" The Platters" or Irish music.
She had many friends who responded well to her persuasive and very generous
personality. An avid collector, she put value on all cast-offs. Ronnie touched the
hearts of many and will be dearly missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ronnie's life at a Memorial Mass to be
celebrated Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Francis Church, Ferry St., New Haven.
Interment will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to CT. Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, , CT 06405
or St. Francis School, 423 Ferry St., New Haven, CT 06513. Ronnie's family wishes
to express their gratitude to the entire staff of CT. Hospice for their compassion
and excellent care. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave.,
East Haven.
