In New Haven, Feb 16, 2009, Carol Leeper Clark, 77, of Foote Rd., East Haven. Beloved wife of the late Eugene B. Clark. Loving mother of Susan A. Clark of East Haven, Celine ( James) Price of East Haven, Katherine ( William) Dorroh of Shreveport, LA and Carol J. ( Andrew) Apuzzo of East Haven. Sister of Edward Leeper Jr. of New Haven and the late Katherine A. Leeper. Also survived by eight grandchildren. Born May 31, 1931 in New Haven a daughter of the late Edward and Helen McCarthy Leeper Sr., she was a graduate of East Haven High School, class of 1949 and then went on to Southern Conn. State University where she earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Carol was an English and reading teacher at the East Haven Middle School for many years. She was an active and lifelong member of the Old Stone Congregational Church in East Haven and had also served on many committees and boards including the board of trustees. She also had been a member of the Branford Rec. Bowling League. Funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Old Stone Church, East Haven. Burial will follow In East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Stone Church Memorial Fund, 251 Main St., East Haven, CT 06512.
