In Madison, March 17, 2009 Loretta A. Poirot Henry, 96, formerly of 1270 North High St., East Haven. Wife of the late Edmund Henry. Mother of Roberta “Toby” Montesanto and husband Michael of East Haven, Elizabeth "Betty'" Schatzlein and husband Warren of East Haven, Edmund T. Henry and wife Gail of Haines City,FL and John "Jack" Henry and wife Linda of Guilford. Sister of the late Marion Pirtel and Ralph Pairot. Also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren. Born Feb. 16, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Wey Poirot, she was a graduate of Hillhouse High School, was a longtime communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven and was a member of the ladies guild of the church. She was also an active member of CO 1 Ladies Auxiliary. EHFD, and was a member of the the New Haven Council of Catholic Women and a life member of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Saturday morning
at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:30. Burial will
follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 - 8 pm. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul School, 35 Bishop St.,
East Haven, CT 06512.
