In Colchester, May 12, 2009, Beatrice (Peachy) Curry Hawtin. Wife of the late Joseph
Hawtin. Mother of Donna H. (William) Kaik of Colchester, Robert F. (Kathie) Hawtin
of West Haven and the late Joseph H. Hawtin Jr. Grandmother of Beverly Mott of Farmington,
NY, William Kaik of Monroe, NC, Joseph H. Hawtin III of Branford, John Hawtin of West
Haven and Kelsey Hawtin of West Haven. Sister of James Curry Maderia Beach, FL and the late
Robert Curry and Ruth Roche. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born April 15, 1925 in New Haven a daughter of the late Eric and Bernice Anderson Curry, she was a graduate of Lawrence and Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as a
registered nurse for Grace-New Haven Hospital and then with Doctors Day and Errico of
West Haven and most recently for the Shoreline Adult Day Care Center in Branford. She was
a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Branford and bowled in several different leagues
at the Cherry Hill Lane, in Branford.
Funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford,
CT, 06405.
