In New Haven, September 19,2009, Elizabeth A. “Lisa” Hanft Sorvillo, 82 a resident of Talmadge Park Nursing Center, formerly of Thompson Av., East Haven. Wife of the late Ralph E. Sorvillo. Mother of Suzanne (Paul) Paquin of Branford, Laura Sorvillo of Branford, Ralph “Skip” (MJ) Sorvillo of IN, Christian (Kay) Sorvillo of TX, Scott (Karen Pellegrino) Sorvillo of East Haven and David Sorvillo of New Britain. Grandmother of Paige Sorvillo, Morgan Sorvillo, Jeffrey Sorvillo, Mathew Sorvillo,Emily Sorvillo, Rachel Paquin,Adam Paquin, Alexander Sorvillo and Erica Greco. Sister of Robert Hanft of CA and the late Philip Hanft. Born October 10, 1926 in Duluth, MN, a daughter of the late Philip and Claire Greene Hanft, she graduated from high school in MN and then Bard College in Red Hook, NY. Mrs. Sorvillo was the proprietor of Curious Eye Antiques in New Haven.
Funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Av., East Haven. Burial will be private. Friends may call Thursday morning prior to the service from 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main St., East Haven, CT 06512.
