Obituary of Theodore Dwight Woolsey

In New Haven, Jan. 18,2010, Theodore Dwight "Ted" Woolsey III, 78 of East Haven.Beloved husband of Brigitte Berner Woolsey. Father of Timothy D. ( Marita ) Woolsey of WI,Richard S. Woolsey of OH, Terrill J. Woolsey of VA, Charles A. ( Karen) Woolsey of ME and Jean E. ( Robert ) Borgman of MA. Step father of Tatiana N.( William ) Geist of Glastonbury,CT and Alexander B. ( Leslie ) Ruch of FL. Grandfather of Elizabeth, Timothy, Christy, Timothy, Jessica, Cassidy, Mary, Charlie, Kurt, Teddy, Annika, Nicole, Danielle, Hunter, Danae and the late Richard and Sara. Great grandfather of Avante. Born Aug. 20,1931 in Beloit, WI , son of the late Theodore D. and Rosella Simenson Woolsey Jr. he was a 1953 graduate of Yale University and served with the US Army from 1954-1956 . He was then employed for twenty years by Sears Roebuck & Co. in sales and marketing. In 1979 he established his own company, General Business Services, a small business counseling service. Ted was a member and past president of the Yale Alumni Assoc and a member and past president of the Millbrook Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. A celebration of Mr. Woolsey's life will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Old Stone Church, East Haven. Interment will be private. There are no calling hours.
