In West Haven, Feb 17, 2010, Norman Thomas" Tom Cat" Umlauf, 61, of High Sf., East
Haven. Father of Thomas J. D. Umlauf and wife Sheila of New Haven. Step father of
Sherry Marie D'Aniello and husband Frederick of Clinton. Grandfather of Marissa
Nicole D'Aniello. Brother of John Umlauf and wife Kathy of East Haven, Dolores Behrend
of Old Lyme, Marilyn Cavalier and husband Thomas of Orange and the late David Umlauf
and Lorraine Umlauf. Born March 19, 1948 in New Haven a son of the late John and Atrid
Sundberg Umlauf he was a US Marine Corp veteran serving in Vietnam and was employed as
a Union Painter for many years. An avid sportsman he enjoyed playing all sports especially
softball and basketball. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of
Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
Funeral service will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,
43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Beaverdale
Memorial Park. Friends may call Sunday from: 3 - 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made
to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., PO Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450.
