In New Haven, March 18, 2010, retired New Haven Fire Dept. Battalion Chief, George
T. Boucher Jr., 66, of Willow Rd., East Haven. Beloved husband of Judith Clancy
Boucher. Father of Kimberly M. Boucher, Paul (Elizabeth) Boucher, Alyson (Matthew)
Healey and Steven Boucher, all of East Haven. Brother of Kevin (Karen) Boucher
(NHPD Ret.) of Henderson, NV, Gerald (Barbara) Boucher (NHFD Ret.) of East Haven,
Katherine (Luigi) Terrone of New Haven and the late Roberta Boucher. Born July 18,
1943 in New Haven a son of the late George T. and Julia Hughes Boucher, he was a
graduate of Wilbur Cross High School, class of 1961. George was a New Haven Firefighter
for over thirty years, retiring with the rank of Battalion Chief. He then became manager of the Shoreline Trolley Museum in East Haven. He had a genuine interest in all trains and trolleys and traveled extensively to trolley and train museums and shows allover the country. He had visited all 48 contiguous states as well as Canada and Aruba.
He was also a member of San Salvador Council, Knights of Columbus.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Monday morning
at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Burial
will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5 - 8 pm. Memorial
contributions may be made to the Shoreline Trolley Museum, 15 River St., East Haven,
CT 06512. George’s family would like to thank the New Haven Fire Dept. and the East Haven Fire Dept. for all the help and support given to him during his illness.
