Thomas E. Clancey Jr., 80, a resident of the Water’s Edge Nursing Home, Middletown.
formerly of Laurel St., East Haven. Brother of Mary Staron of Guilford, Patricia
Rubenstein of Oceanside, CA and William Clancey of Las Vegas, NV. Uncle of Tacy Woods
of Guilford and Michael Staron of Fall River, MA. Great uncle of Amanda and John Woods.
Born March 12, 1930 in New Haven a son of the late Thomas E. and Mary Galaske Clancey
Sr. he served with the US Army and was employed as a landscaper for many years, owning
his own business and working for Yale University. He was a longtime parishioner of
St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven where he served as an usher.
A Mass. of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 9:00 in St. Vincent
de Paul Church. Interrment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling
hours. Thomas’s family would like to thank the entire staff of the Water’s Edge Nursing
Home for the wonderful care given to him during the last several years of his life.
