Obituary of Concetta Paranto

At home, March 28, 2010, Concetta Santomassimo Paranto, 81, of James Str., East Haven. Beloved mother of Holly Pearson of North Haven, Francis(Donna) Paranto Jr. of Guilford and Mark(Roberta)Paranto of East Haven. Cherished grandmother of Daniel Pearson, Mark Paranto, Jeffrey Pearson, Jessica Fraenza, Kirsten Pearson, Cody Paranto, Patrik Pearson and Juliana Paranto. Sister of the late Rosalyn Watrous. Cousin of Joan Santomassimo of New Haven. Born March 4, 1929 in New Haven a daughter of the late Dominic and Philomena Cavalaro Santomassimo, she was a graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven and was employed for a time with Blue Cross. Concetta was later employed for over twenty four years at Frank Pepe’s Pizzaria in New Haven. She was an avid card player who loved playing with family and friends. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm.
