Obituary of Carmel J. DeRenzo

In New Haven, April 2, 2010, Carmel Josephine Pesce DeRenzo, 86 of Chester St., New Haven. Wife of the late Paul DeRenzo. Mother of Joanne Montano and Paul DeRenzo, both of New Haven. Grandmother of Michael and Sara Montano. Great grandmother of Angelina Marie Carmella Cantres. Sister of Gennaro Pesce of North Haven and the late Thomas Pesce, Angelo Pesce, Rose Affinito, Vera Cinciola and Raffaella Pompano. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 7,1923 in Naples, Italy a daughter of the late Gennaro and Antoinette Iadersta Pesce, she had been employed for over thirty years as an office worker for Yale University. She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10:00 in St. Vincent de Paul Church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1905.
