In Branford, April 17, 2010, William M. Lynch, 91, of Brockett’s Point Rd, Branford.
Beloved husband of the late B. Fern Mugford Lynch. Loving father of Susan Phillips
and husband William of Milford. W. Sean Lynch and husband Richard Smith of Guilford
and Kevin M. Lynch and wife Anne of North Carolina. Cherished grandfather of William,
Michael and Ryan Phillips and Shannon Lynch. Brother of the late M. Russell Lynch,
Marion Roach, and Lillian Funk. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born
May 21, 1918 in Woonsocket, RI a son of the late Matthew and Isabelle Daignault Lynch,
he was a graduate of Hillhouse High School, class of 1936 and served with the US Army
Air Corp during WWII. He was employed for many years as a maintenance manager for
Unilever Corp., retiring in 1987. Mr. Lynch was a member of American Legion Post # 83
in Branford and in his spare time loved to grow vegetables in his garden.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,
43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial with military honors will follow in East Lawn
Cemetery. Friends .may call Tuesday from 4 -7 .pm, Memorial contributions may be made
to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
