In West Haven, April,25,2010, Irene K. Majewski,99, formerly of Hill St., East Haven. Loving sister of the late Helen Masker, Jessie Lewandowski, Isobel Fitzgerald, Pauline Colburn and William Majewski. Beloved aunt of Paula ( Frank ) DeMatteo, Janet ( Raymond ) Ceccarelli, Nancy Rogers, Bernice ( Paul ) LeRoux and George Colburn. Also survived by several great nieces and a great nephew and several great great nieces and a great great nephew. Born Dec. 16,1910 in New Haven a daughter of the late Martin and Zophia Soleki Majewski, she worked as a telephone operator for SNET, retiring in 1972 after forty years of service. Irene loved life, loved her family and loved going to the casino.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Thursday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:30. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery,Branford. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 - 8 pm.
