In New Haven, May 7,2010, Dorothy Guindon Ras, 65, of Eastern St. New Haven. Wife of the late Gerrit Ras. Mother of George D. Shadeck of Branford, Roger ( Sharon ) Shadeck of North Branford and Richard A. ( Joanna ) Shadeck of Cheshire. Grandmother of Julian Shadeck, Kyle Shadeck, Benjamin Shadeck, Marisa Rockwell, George Rockwell III and Angelus Shadeck. Great grandmother of Julian Xavier Shadeck. Sister of Irene Martin of Providence,RI. Born Nov. 8,1944 in Coventry,RI a daughter of George and Ann Guindon. She was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in New Haven and had been a volunteer at the Hospital of St. Raphael.
Memorial service will be held Sat. May 15,2010 at 10:00am in St. Andrews Methodist Church, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association 753 Boston Post Rd., Guilfoprd, CT 06437. Arrangements with Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
