Obituary of Madeline Trudeau Tyler

Madeline “Maggie” (Trudeau) Tyler, 67, of 11 Schoolground Rd., Branford, died peacefully after a long illness at New Britain General Hospital on May 7, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born in Dover, NH on May 20, 1942, a daughter of the late George and Isabell (Capone) Trudeau. She was raised in a Catholic orphanage in Manchester, NJ until she moved to CT when she was 17 years old. Madeline was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in Jan. of 2007. She spent several months in St. Raphael’s Hospital and the last 2 years at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Despite her illness, she always had a big smile to everyone who visted her. Maggie loved doing home crafts, gardening and going shopping in the local stores. She was very kind and generous to everyone. She will be sadly missed. Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years William J. Tyler, a sister Rosemary Ranciato, brothers George and Robert Trudeau, daughters, Cheryl A. Tyler, Donna J. Tyler, sons William J.(Agnes)Tyler, Jr. and Jeffrey J.(Mary Beth Adams) Tyler. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Chrystal, Steven, Jeffrey and Justin Tyler. Matthew, Kyle and Brianna Pacileo and Alyssa Tadde and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Timothy P. Tyler. Funeral services in Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Tuesday at 11am. Friends may call Tuesday from 10am until time of service. Burial will be private.
