Obituary of Jane G. Trench

In New Haven, May 23,2010, Jane G. Stern Trench, 79, of Lake Rd., North Branford. Wife of the late Ronald I. Trench. Mother of Ronald I. Trench Jr. and wife Stacey Weaver of Berlin,PA , Derek Trench and wife Dixie of Hudson, ME, Leslie Civitello and husband Joseph of East Haven and Lynda Geraci of Branford.Also survived by grandchildren Stefanie, Marissa,Eric, Mindy and Joseph, a great grandson Landon , a sister Shirley Smereczynsky and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister Joan Mitchell and brothers Robert, Donald, George "Bud", and John "Jack" Stern. Born Nov. 13,1930 in Bethel,CT a daughter of the late George and Gladys Casey Stern, she was a graduate of West Haven High School and was employed for many years in the security dept. of several area dept. stores including Kings and Bradleys. Graveside service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. There are no calling hours. Jane's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the entire staff of the S-ICU dept at Yale New Haven Hospital for their dedication and compassion while caring for her.
