Obituary of Alice L. Golden

In Wallingford, June 18,2010, Alice L. Anderson Golden, 93, a lifelong resident of New Haven, Wife of the late John M. Golden. Aunt of John T. ( Laurie ) Anderson of Wallingford. Great aunt of Alicia V. and John R. Anderson. Sister in law of the late Alice Anderson. Also survived by her late husbands daughters, Frances G. Krenisky of New Haven and Margaret G. Berges of IL. Born Oct. 10,1916 in New Haven a daughter of the late August W. and Elida V. Skoog Anderson, she was educated in New Haven schools and was a graduate of Albertus Magnus College. Alice was employed for many years and was a past president of Golden, O'neill and Gebhardt Insurance Co. of New Haven. She was a longtime member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in New Haven and was active in many charitable and civic organizations, including serving on the advisory board for the Clelian Adult Day Center and was a trustee emerita at Albertus Magnus College. Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Bethesda Lutheran Church, New Haven. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm.
