Obituary of Iren Erzsebet Whitney

In New Haven, Aug. 4,2010, Iren Erzsebet Novak Whitney, 59, of North High St., East Haven. Beloved wife of Ronald A. Whitney. Loving mother of Monica Lukacs - Warburton of Cheshire and Rebecca A. Whitney of East Haven. Cherished grandmother of Taylor and Paige Warburton. Sister of the late Josef Novak. Born Sept. 5,1950 in Kislang, Hungary a daughter of the late Josef and Iren Novak. She was raised and educated in Hungary, coming to this country in 1970. She lived and worked in Arlington, VA until the birth of her first daughter in 1973. She met Ron and moved to CT in 1982 and they were married in 1984. They were blessed with a second daughter in 1990.She had worked as an Advertising Coordinator for Research Publications of Woodbridge and then was emplyed as a Certified Nurses Aid with VNA Community Healthcare of Guilford.Iren was a devoted mother and grandmother who passed with her children at her side. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Interment will be private. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 - 11:00.
