In New Haven, Aug. 26,2010, George S. Thompsen, 95, of Cedar St., Branford. Husband of the late Olga Monsen Thompsen. Father of Eileen Smyth of Naples,FL, Joyce Biolozi of Branford and Lois Hart of Manerville, NY. Brother of the late Einar Thompsen, Ellen Fosse and Astrid Thompsen. Also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Born Feb. 1,1915 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late Charles and Leonora Pedersen Thompsen, he was a US Army veteran of WW2 and had been employed as an Officer of Banking Operations for City Bank, retiring in 1976. George had lived most of his life in Seaford, Long Island, NY. He was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking.
Funeral service and burial were private. Arrangements were with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
