Obituary of Ann Margaret O'Keefe

Ann Margaret Gojuk O'Keefe, 93, a resident of Branford Hills Health Care Center, formerly of Thompson Ave., East Haven passed away on Sept. 17,2010. Wife of the late John F. O'Keefe Sr. Mother of John F.( Rose ) O'Keefe Jr. of East Haven, Joan A.( Richard ) Hallet of East Haven, Mary K. ( Todd) O'Keefe-Reagan of Dallas,TX and Patricia ( Michael) Nuzzo of East Haven. Sister of Peter Gojuk of East Haven, Pauline Romano of Branford, Merri Barnes of Middletown,NY, Carol Rossi of North Haven and the late Nicholas Gojuk. Also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson John F. O'Keefe III.Born Aug. 7,1917 in New Haven a daughter of the late John and Catherine Rybicki Gojuk she was employed by AC Gilbert, Kentucky Fried Chicken and the concession stands at the New Haven Post Office and also the East Haven Hockey Rink. Ann was a faithful communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven and was a member of the church Social Club and a past president and treasurer of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the East Haven Senior Citizens and a past member and officer of the CT Classics Drum and Bugle Corp. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Tuesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
