In New Haven, Oct. 25, 2010, Joseph A. DeLucia, 73, of Robin Dr., East
Haven. Beloved husband of the late Rose Marilyn Russell DeLucia. Father of
JoAnna (DeLucia) Vitkovsky and husband Jerry Nero of East Haven, Nancy
(DeLucia) Mansi and husband Michael of North Branford and Thomas DeLucia
and wife Tracey of Branford. Grandfather of Michael, Lindsey and Christopher
Mansi, Joseph Vitkovsky and Cameron and Thomas DeLucia. Great grandfather
of Aryana, Macen and Giavana Mansi.Brother of Flo Esposito of New Haven.
Also survived by his canine companion Honey. Born May 18,937 in New Haven
a son of the late Thomas and Lucy Palmieri DeLucia he was a longtime cook
at the Captains Galley Restaurant in West Haven and also was employed as a
driver for Auto Parts International in North Haven. He had a great love for horses and horseback riding and was an avid pigeon racer as a member
of the pigeon club of NY. He was also a longtime hockey referee:for several
youth hockey leagues.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday
morning at 10:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Our lady of Pompeii Church
at 10:30. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call
Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:00.
