In Laurel Woods, Dec. 17,2010, Gladys Mitchell Marini, 83, of East Haven. Wife of the late Regiano " Reggie " Marini. Mother of Robert M. ( Maureen ) Marini and Margo M. ( David ) DeFelice, all of East Haven. Grandmother of Rob Marini, Alicia Marini, Erica Marini, Maj. David ( Lauren ) DeFelice US Army and Diana ( Rob ) Herron. Great grandmother of Kyler, Emily, Alaina and Julia DeFelice and Tripp and Christopher Herron. Sister of Helen Hallock of PA and the late Lily Westberg. Sister in law of Eva Mongillo of WA. Also survived by her good friends Barbara and Al Gilson of East Haven. Born Oct. 24,1927 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Charles and Lily Arnett Mitchell, she was a graduate of Stratford High School and had attended the New Haven Campus of the UCONN School of Pharmacy. She had , along with her late husband , owned and operated the Center Pharmacy in West Haven for many years. She later was employed by the Town of East Haven as the Municiple Agent for the Elderly. Gladys was an ardent NY Yankee fan and UCONN women's basketball fan. Graveside service will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Monday from 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Purr Project Inc., 843 State St. New Haven, CT 06511.
