Obituary of David Franco

David ‘Chicky” Franco 75 of New Haven passed away August 23, 2021 at the VA Hospital in West Haven. He was born May 6, 1946 in New Haven to the late Frank and Philomena (Pellegrino) Franco. David is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia (Giannotti) Franco and three devoted children, Denise Montesanto (Paul) of East Haven, David “Chicky” Franco (Rachael) of Mystic and Brian Franco of New London along with four grandchildren he adored, Nicholas Montesanto, Anthony Franco, Adian Franco and Christian Franco.
David loved his grandsons very much and enjoyed being with them, he loved watching Yankee and Giants games. He was formerly employed by Rosners Market on State Street in New Haven and Mohawk Market.
David proudly served 6years in the CT National Guard. He was passionate about his hobby WWII models from which he won many awards at various model shows.
He loved his black labs,” Little Guy, L.T., Patton, Eli” and his granddaughter puppy “Roxi.”
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 4 P.M. until the time of service at 6:30 P.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
