Obituary of Elaine Mastriano

Elaine (Ferraiuolo) Mastriano, 89, of East Haven passed away July 25, 2022 at the Guilford House in Guilford. She was born February 27, 1933 in New Haven to Salvatore and Victoria (Saczynski) Ferraiuolo. Elaine is survived by her loving son, Joseph Mastriano of North Haven and a nephew, John Ferraiuolo Jr. (Elizabeth), two nieces, Sandy Esposito (Steve) and Karla Fico (Vinny). She is also survived by several by her brother-in-laws, Anthony Mastriano (Nancy), Louis Mastriano (Concetta), Francis Mastriano (Janice) and Robert Mastriano (widow of Theresa), great nieces/nephews, cousins and dear friends. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph Mastriano Sr., a brother, John Ferraiuolo and a sister, Dolores (Ferraiuolo) Saczynski. Elaine was a hairdresser for over 40 years and always looked forward to visiting and talking with her clients, family, friends and even strangers. She was fondly referred to as the family Historian. Elaine loved nothing more than having big family pool parties in her backyard, where she would always have a spread of delicious Italian dishes that she would make, especially Sunday Sauce and her “famous” cream pie. She was always dressed impeccably and was such a classy lady. She loved to go on trips with her beloved husband Porky, but most of all, loved every moment spent with her only son, Joey. Elaine was blessed by the Lord with a “Buon Anima”, a “Good Soul”, and will be sorely missed. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
