Mary Louise (Criscuolo) Beirne, 69 of West Haven passed away January 2, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born November 8, 1953 in New Haven to Alphonse B. and Mary (Oddi) Criscuolo. Mary Louise is survived by her daughters, Giovannina Fronte of North Branford, Alessandra Fronte of Branford, Nicoletta Fronte of West Haven and step-daughter Tamra Beirne of FL along with two grandchildren, Arianna Camacho and Michael Goodmaster Jr. She is also survived by her sister, Cathryn Nuzzo of New Haven, a brother, Alphonse Criscuolo (Michele) of Milford, a nephew, Matthew Nuzzo, mother-in-law, Joanne (Beirne) Cathey (Frank) of East Haven, and sister-in-law, Regina Parillo (Michael) of East Haven. Mary Louise is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Beirne (2017), and a sister-in-law, Maura “Mia” (Garmizo) Zukowski. Mary worked at Tony & Lucille’s on Wooster Street for many years. She was an animal lover and spent her free time volunteering for the Greater New Haven Cat Project. Mary was a huge Queen fan and truly enjoyed watching Freddie Mercury perform and baking Christmas cookies with her granddaughter. She was an avid reader and creative writer. She is welcomed into heaven by her husband Tommy and beloved cat Lola. All services are private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven. Donations in Mary’s name can be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter.
