Obituary of Charlene Maselli

Charlene (Wolfe) Maselli 66 of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 25, 2023 at CT Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 13, 1956 in Mineola NY to Maryann (Dolan) and Lawrence Wolfe. She moved to CT when she was 7 yrs old. Charlene was the loving mother of Danielle (Robert Sr.) Cordova and Joesph (Crystal) Maselli. She was a loving grandmother to Robert Jr, Ashley, Ryan, Makayla, Isabella, Cordova, Mia, Ava, and Joseph Maselli. Loving great grandmother to Adriana “Babydoll”, Antonio “Bubby”, Vincenzo ”Vinny”, Santino “Squants” and arriving soon Luciana. Charlene was also survived by her sister Maryann (Wolfe) Sanford of Wallingford whom she resided with before her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and many other family members. Charlene was such a selfless person who always put her family first. She was always a phone call away if you needed advice or anything. She would give anyone the shirt off her back. Her gift to gab and her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes always lit up any room she entered. Charlene enjoyed the outdoors, plants, her animals, the ability to clean just about anything with vinegar music, Rod Stewart. Most of all, she loved being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing woman, who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Prior to her early retirement she was a crane operator and a member of the operating Engineers union local 478 in Hamden. Charlene was the only female crane operator at the time of her employment. She showed up daily with her pink hard hat, pink work boots and her pink jacket. She was very proud to be one of the crew on every Job site. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven from 5 P.M. until the time of service at 6:30 P.M., burial will be private.
