Vera M. Murphy, 86 of Branford passed away February 9, 2024. She was born October 30, 1937 in New Haven to George and Vera (Femniak) Murphy. Vera is survived by her loving siblings; Marilyn Amento (Clem) of Branford, James Murphy of New Haven, Paul T. Murphy (Charlene) of East Haven, Katherine Scott of Florida and Mary-Jean DeAngelo of Old Saybrook. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Murphy of Minnesota, numerous nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and friends.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George D. Murphy.
Vera was a former employee of Bradlees and W.T. Grants and was an avid bowler.
A graveside service will be held in the spring at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
