Obituary of Joyce Falorni

Joyce (Maturo) Falorni, 76 of East Haven passed away, surrounded by family, March 16, 2024 at Ct Hospice. She was born June 23, 1947 in North Branford to the late Louis Sr. and Yvonne (Pecor) Maturo. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of over 48 years, Claude Falorni and their devoted daughter, Jennifer Falorni-D’Alessio (James) of North Carolina along with one granddaughter she adored, Josephine D’Alessio. Joyce is also survived by her three siblings; Patricia Travisano (Joseph), Nancy LeLacheur (Ken) and Louis Maturo Jr. and many nieces/nephews. As a young adult, Joyce worked for the Hospital of Saint Raphael and Chubb & Son. She then enjoyed working at Teletrack and OTB before a long career with the State of CT. She worked for the New Haven Housing Authority before her retirement. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. As a friend, sister and neighbor, she was always there to help out, lend a listening ear and offer words of encouragement. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who poured her heart into caring for her family. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 9 – 10:30 A.M. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford CT 06405 in memory of Joyce Falorni.
