I am saddened by Hugh’s passing. Our friendship goes back 55 years. He enjoyed a good reputation in his profession and with his peers. His personality was infectious. A great wit. And of course who can forget his golf powers.
We’ll miss him and he’ll be in our thoughts

Despite my father's busy work schedule, he never missed a football game or track meet. He instilled in me the importance of hard work, commitment, loyalty and service to others. He took great pride in his work and service to the greater Danbury community. I grew up performing odd jobs around his law from when it was located on West St. in Danbury, CT. While working on the front steps of the building I ran into a client who was looking for him. He told me what a great lawyer my father was, but most importantly that he was a good person. That was always stuck with me over the years. The measure of the person is not in their accolades obtained, but how they treat and serve the people around them.
I will always honor my father's legacy and continue to live up to the hide standards set forth by him. Even in the advanced stages of his Parkinson's disease he would walk people to the door and was always gracious and polite. Moreover, he possessed a tremendous strong spirit and toughness. My family has endured more than their fair share of hardships over the years. I can think of no greater pain than having to watch the people you love struggle and suffer.
I will sorely miss my father's guidance and be eternally indebted to him. Lastly, to my lovely wife Susan: you are the kindness and most compassionate person I have ever known. Working full time, raising 3 young adults and helping me take care of my father during the end stages of disease was a tremendous amount of work to take on. I would be nothing and have nothing without your continued love, devotion and loyalty.
"I've always made a total effort, even when the odds seemed entirely against me. I never quit trying; I never felt that I didn't have a chance to win." Arnold Palmer
With Love & Devotion,
