What is a tribute to a brother how can you pay accolades to someone who is your hero.
The one you look up to, the one you know you'll get the truth from. The one who's penmanship is identical to yours.
The one who showed me how to breathe when pulling the trigger, let us not forget putting me in his lap to steer the car while he did the pedals. Let us never forget how to get up with skies on.
The best tribute I can is to pay it forward with love, dignity, honor and grace.
God bless you, my brother. You will always be missed.
Love always Don

I always enjoyed having lance coming for the holidays, when a good concert was in town, or just a bike ride to the mission inns in california.

Lance was one of the nicest guy I had the pleasure of working with. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help you out, whenever needed. I never meet his daughter, but we chatted about our children often and he was so deeply proud of her! My deepest condolences to all that knew and loved him…heaven has gained a special Angel.

Lance is my best friend Lyndsee’s dad. When we were kids, I spent every weekend at their house, and Lance was like a second father to me. He took us in so many adventures, biking through German towns, snowboarding in the Swiss Alps, snowboarding in Garmisch, go-karting, restaurants all over the world, and picked us up from our after school program at the Youth Center. He even drudged up the side of a mountain with snowboards and skis in tow when I was too afraid to ride the chair lift. Lance never complained about how whiney I was, and if he ever got angry he never showed it. He was such a jolly presence in my life, and someone that will take years to come to terms with his passing. This world is missing a bright light without Lance in it, but I know his spirit remains and he’s out there skiing and singing his heart out. Prost to my second dad, we all love you so much.
Love,
Melissa and Noah

Lance was a beautiful soul. His smile and laughter would always light up a room. This world was a better place because he was in it. You will be missed my friend. “Tell your girlfriends@.

Lance and i met at West Point and developed a great friendship through cycling…I always enjoyed his popping in at my office, such a welcome break…his genuine, down to earth personality was pure Lance, he lived life to the max through his passion for adventure and as I cycle alone on one of the many trails he also trekked, his memory will ride along with me...

I was fortunate to have known Lance in our mutual work environment at West Point. He and I also shared a passion for music and singing, which we talked about frequently. Lance was an incredibly positive and friendly indivdual, who truly cared about his job as a safety officer. We will truly miss him.

My sincere condolences to Lyndsee, Chris and all of Lance's friends and family. I've known Lance since 1996 during my time at Grand Forks, North Dakota. Lance's taught me how to ski and I had the honor and privilege to call him my friend...one if the most kind, generous spirits I've known. I hate cancer took him from us and I won't be able to do anymore "turns" with him on planet earth's ski slopes...but also thankful he isn't suffering anymore. Lance was my hero, my Superman and he will be greatly missed!

Lance was 4 yrs old in the picture by the lake with my Dad. He was very close to my dad being he was the first Nephew/Grandson. The other photo is from Thanksgiving 2018. Lance and I were cousins but I always considered him as my Big brother.

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Lance?
A: Lance was a kind, loving, and sincere man. He and I were cousins but I considered him my older brother. He was also very close to his family. My fondest memories are of him playing guitar and always loving the outdoors. I will miss our text messages. Thank you Lance for always being there! Love you lots Nancy Ann.

Lance was a great coworker and friend. We connected immediately with our love of skiing, fly fishing and Montana. I was looking forward to meeting him on the slopes of his beloved Bridger Bowl and having a drink at the Cat’s Paw in Bozeman. I’m thankful to have known him and will think of him, and talk to him, often. Rest in Peace my friend.
